You are so right about that. And of course the other issue is that many working professionals don't consider their networks until they really need them. Post-layoff attempts to build a professional network are tough - we can't stress enough how important it is to consider relationship building an integral part of your working life…before you need those relationships for job search.

I think more often than not, people just overlook that fact right at the end there. It truly is a numbers game. You literally have to have hundreds of high quality contacts to get the job you want. Some people give up after submitting 15 resumes and not getting a job. It's going to take a whole lot more than that!

Wanted to share some splendid news with the fine people at CPGJoblist... I have landed the perfect new role at the perfect company for me! I am the newest member of the Sales Team at Annie's Inc. -- we sell organic mac n cheese, sweet and savory snacks, cookies, cereals, dressings, and condiments. I am so proud to be a part of such a transparent and ethical company, where I feel that I can live my principles 24 hours a day and seven days a week!

Thank you for helping me get to HR with the network you have established. This was the longest hiring process I ever been through, but every minute was worth it. I am so happy to be at Annie's! A big shout out to the CPGPeople team!

I hope others find their way to you too. I highly recommend the expertise of CPGJob;list and CPGPeople to all new job seekers and those who may be exploring.

Recently in a Twitter Chat I had a recruiter say to me that he loved it when candidates were able to have a sense of humor in the interview - "Make me laugh," he said "And you've got me." It's hard for us to remember sometimes when we go into the interview that the recruiter is human too. Relax, be professional, but finding a way to connect at the human level is the best approach. 'Course, this post illustrates that sometimes, that just isn't possible. So the question is, would you really want to work there anyway?

Michael T Jones of Delafield & Milwaukee Wisconsin donated $11,125 to the campaigns of Wisconsin's Temporary Governor Scott Walker - as Vice President of Corporate Affairs Michael T Jones earned MillerCoors a place on the Boycott List. Be sure to keep everyone else on the internet informed about the need to boycott MillerCoors and let them know Wisconsin is CLOSED for this business.

Since I have been to Hershey Park as child in grade school from PA I would ask him what his favorite amusemant ride was? I think it would break the ice and then start the interview.
